A professional headshot session at Rojas Photography can take up to 3 hours — unhurried, with no hard time limit. This includes a brief consultation at the start, real-time expression and posing coaching throughout, multiple wardrobe changes, and a review of your best frames before you leave.
At Rojas Photography, sessions are never rushed. We block up to 3 hours for individual sessions and unlimited wardrobe changes are included — you are not working against a clock.
What Happens During a Session
Arrival & Consultation (5–10 min)
You arrive, hang up your wardrobe, and we have a brief conversation about your profession, how your headshot will be used, and what you want to communicate. This is where session direction is set.
Lighting Setup & First Look (5–10 min)
Lighting is set up before you arrive — but we make final adjustments based on your first outfit and skin tone. First frames are taken to calibrate and get you warmed up.
Coached Shooting & Live Photo Review (40–90 min)
The heart of your session. We shoot multiple expressions and angles per look, and you see your frames in real-time on screen as we go. This live preview lets us collaborate throughout — adjusting poses, expressions, and direction based on what's actually working. It ensures the session is going exactly the way you want from the very beginning, not a surprise at the end.
Wardrobe Changes & Selection Throughout (integrated)
Wardrobe changes happen naturally throughout the session as we progress through looks. After each look, you see your best frames live and help select which images to send to editing. This means you are involved in the curation process as it happens — not making tough decisions later.
Final Selection & Delivery Timeline (before you leave)
Before you leave, your selected favorites are flagged for professional editing and retouching. You walk out knowing exactly which images are being finished and when they will arrive — 48 hours for standard delivery, or 24 hours if you add our $75-per-image rush delivery option.
Team & On-Site Session Timing
Efficient on-site flow with pre-set lighting and backdrop. Each team member is coached and photographed in their dedicated slot.
A 20-person team can typically be completed in 4 hours on-site, including setup and individual coaching for each person.
Larger teams and multi-department sessions are scheduled as full-day on-site events with multiple photography stations if needed.
